Seattle rent prices this fall remained the 10th most expensive in the country, as one bedroom rents increased 0.6% in September to $1,660 and two bedrooms increased 1.4% to $2,200. Though overall prices have risen, a fair amount of variation can be seen by neighborhood, where the priciest areas can fetch in the mid $2,000’s for a one bedroom apartment.
Looking closer at the map above, the most expensive areas center around the Central Business District ($2,340), Belltown ($2,100) and Pike Place Market ($2,050). Other pricey areas include Mercer Island, Queen Anne, and SoDo, all in the $1,600-$1,900 range. More affordable finds can be seen to the south of Downtown, such as Atlantic and North Beacon Hill.
