Philadelphia ranked as the 17th most expensive city to rent this month. The price of one bedroom units increased 0.7% to a median of $1,370, while two bedroom units remained flat at $1,500. Since this time last year, the price of one bedroom units is up over 14%.
East Parkside and South Philadelphia West had the fastest growing rents this winter, both up over 10% since last quarter.
Tied for first, University City and Logan Square were the priciest neighborhoods to rent, both at a median of $1,800 a month for one bedroom units. Mid-range priced rentals, for $1,200 or less, could be found in Bella Vista- Southwark, Kensington, and Cedar Park.
