Portland remained the 12th most expensive rental market in the nation last month, as the median price for one bedroom apartments increased 0.8% to $1,340, while two bedrooms increased 0.6% to $1,620. Although fairly stable this month, Portland prices were still more expensive than Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Baltimore in our most recent list of rent prices across the U.S.

At a median of $2,200 for one bedroom units, Pearl continued to have strong hold as the most expensive neighborhood to rent in Portland this spring. Downtown Portland ($1,650), Old Town – Chinatown ($1,600), and Corbet – Terwilliger – Lair Hill ($1,450) were the next priciest areas to rent. More affordable neighborhoods, priced below $1,100, could be found in the south and eastern portions of the city.
