Washington D.C. continued to reign as the fourth most expensive rental market in the nation. The price of one bedrooms grew 1.7% to $2,400, while two bedrooms dropped 2.5% to $3,060. On a year over year basis, one and two bedrooms are up 11.5% and 14.2%, respectively.

While Palisades had the fastest growing rent this quarter, up 9.3%, Glover Park and Logan Circle – Shaw saw the biggest rent dips, down 10.7% and 7.7%, respectively.

This winter, Dupont Circle ($2,500) and Downtown ($2,450) reigned as the most expensive neighborhoods to rent. More affordable rentals, priced around $1,700, could be found in Stadium – Armory, Berkley, and Petworth.

The least expensive areas included Deanwood ($950), Anacostia ($1,035), and Takoma Park ($1,350).
