Cities Ranked By Rent

The Most Expensive

–Bethesda, MD saw rent grow to $2,300 and continue to rank as the priciest city in the metro.

Reston, VA moved up 2 spots to rank in the top 3 markets as the 2nd most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $2,190.

–Arlington, VA fell one spot to 3rd with rent at $2,150.

The Least Expensive

–Frederick, MD rent continued to rank as the most affordable at $1,200.

–Silver Spring, MD was the 2nd least expensive with one bedrooms priced at $1,640.

–Rockville, MD was 3rd with rent at $1,750.

Growth Rate

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

Reston, VA had the largest year over year rental growth rate, up 15.3%.

–Frederick, MD rent was the second fastest growing, climbing 9.1%.

–Bethesda, MD followed closely behind as third with rent jumping 9%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

–Bethesda, MD rent also had a large monthly growth rate, climbing 5%.

Reston, VA rent jumped 4.3% last month, making it the 2nd fastest growing.
