Cities Ranked By Rent

Most Expensive

Arlington, VA rent, although falling $20 since last month, continued to reign as the most expensive city in the metro.

Washington, DC followed closely behind as second with one bedrooms priced at $2,230.

Bethesda, MD was third with rent at $2,140.

Least Expensive

Frederick, MD, although growing $20 in rent, remained the most affordable in the metro.

Rockville, MD was the second most affordable city with rent at $1,650, significantly higher than Frederick.

Alexandria, VA rent ranked as third with one bedrooms priced at $1,710.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

Silver Spring, MD had the fastest growing rent since this time last year, up 12%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

Bethesda, MD and Reston, VA rents tied for the fastest growing, both up 4.9% since last month.

Rockville, MD had the second largest monthly growth rate at 3.1%.
