At the end of 2020, we revealed a new trend showing that more people had chosen to live with their significant other in 2020 than in 2019, with nearly 80% telling us that the quarantine played a role in the decision to move in together. We wanted to find out more….
- 43% of couples moved in together after dating for 6 months or less
- 82% said the pandemic affected their decision to move in with their significant other
- 66% said living in quarantine made their relationship better
- 90% are still living with their significant other
We couldn’t be happier to know that things are going pretty darn well for these quarantine couples!

Methodology: A total of 750 responses were collected from people aged 18+ throughout the U.S. on January 25, 2021, using the survey tool Pollfish. Respondents were qualified to take the survey only if they confirmed that they moved in with their significant other in 2020. Responses from people who did not claim that they moved in with a significant other in 2020 were not counted. See the full Pollfish methodology here.
