Although Los Angeles rent prices remained fairly stable last month, the city jumped ahead of Chicago to become the 7th most expensive market in the nation. Prices for one bedroom units stayed flat at $1,900 and two bedroom units grew 2.2% to a median of $2,760.

Beachfront Venice ($2,730), Westchester – Playa Del Rey ($2,100), and Pacific Palisades ($2,550) were also notably pricy as well. The most affordable areas, all under $1,000, were located in the south east portion of the city, including Florence – Graham, Central Alameda, and Voices of 90037.
