Cities Ranked By Rent
The Most Expensive
–Washington, DCÂ held onto its position as the most expensive rental market with one bedrooms priced at $2,340.
–Arlington, VAÂ outpaced Bethesda to rank as second priciest with rent at $2,150.
–Bethesda, MDÂ followed closely behind as third with rent at $2,110.
The Least Expensive
–Frederick, MDÂ rent fell 2.7% and continued to rank as the most affordable in the metro.
–Rockville, MDÂ was second with one bedrooms priced at $1,640.
–Silver Spring, MD rent, only $20 more expensive than Rockville’s, ranked as the third least expensive at $1,660.
Growth Rate
The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
–Washington, DCÂ had the largest yearly rental growth rate in the metro, up 15.3%.
–Reston, VAÂ was second with rent climbing 11.8% since this time last year.
–Alexandria, VA had the third fastest growing rent, increasing 9.6%.
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
–Rockville, MDÂ was the only city in the metro with a large monthly growth rate, up 4.5%.
