Cities Ranked By Rent

The Most Expensive

–Bethesda, MD continued to rank as the most expensive city as rent grew another $20 to $2,280.

–Arlington, VA & Reston, VA tied for second with one bedrooms both priced at $2,180.

–Washington D.C followed closely behind with rent at $2,150.

The Least Expensive

–Frederick, MD saw rent grow $20 to $1,210 but remain the most affordable city.

–Rockville, MD dropped one spot to become the second least expensive city with rent falling $40 to $1,700.

–Silver Spring, MD was third with rent at $1,730.

Growth Rate

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

Bethesda, MD had the fastest growing rent, up 14% since this time last year.

Reston, VA rent jumped 10.7%, making it the second fastest growing.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

Alexandria, VA was the only city with a significant monthly rental growth rate, climbing 4.7%.
