Which cities have the most satisfied residents? And what makes those cities so great to live in? To find out, we surveyed thousands of renters across the U.S. and Canada, gathering insights into what residents love—and what they find challenging—about their communities.
Our survey asked questions about respondents’ satisfaction in their cities, states, and provinces. We included specific questions about housing affordability, pet friendliness, weather, cost of living, and more. Respondents were asked to rate their satisfaction in each designated category on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the most satisfied and 1 being the least satisfied. Only locations with 5 or more responses were counted towards the total. Responses were then averaged to determine the overall satisfaction percentage of each location for the given category.
The most up-to-date results are shared on our Zumper apartment search pages in cities that had at least 5 respondents. You can see if your city is one of them by heading to Zumper.com and conducting a search.
