IMG: Visit Philadelphia

Whether you’re looking for a strong WiFi connection and outlets galore, an Instagram-worthy latte, or a cozy spot for catching up with friends, these are the best coffee shops around Philadelphia.

Elixr

Elixr serves delicious pour-overs that have made many coffee snobs ditch their go-to order. The award-winning roasters know a thing or two about coffee and can help you craft the perfect order based on your preferences at one of their 3 locations around Philadelphia. Although the most popular location, we still recommend checking out the Rittenhouse Square spot–it’s been called cool and hipster, and not just because you have to walk down an unassuming ally to find the entrance.

Herman’s Coffee

What was once an auto repair shop is now an open-air coffee shop and small-batch roasting plant in the heart of Pennsport. Herman’s, named after the owner’s grandfather, is a lively space that fosters community with shared seating and communal board games. Try one of their specialty lattes or a pour-over from their rotating menu, and if you visit on a Sunday, grab a food truck breakfast from 10:00AM-1:00PM.

Menagerie Coffee

Menagerie is a cozy spot in Old City that’s great for catching up with friends or having a productive afternoon. With lots of seating options and plenty of outlets, you can plug in for a few hours, but note that it can get crowded so go early to secure a spot. Logistics aside, they have a great selection of drinks, panini-style sandwiches, and pastries.

One Shot Coffee & Cafe

This 2-story corner cafe in Northern Liberties serves Stumptown Coffee along with a hearty brunch menu available daily until 4PM. The homey space is decorated with antiques and cozy furniture, perfect for a coffee date, or warming up on a winter day.

Rally

Rally is an offshoot of a creative branding agency and they have the bright, posh interior to prove it. Designed as a spot to gather, the coffee shop fosters creativity and productivity as it provides a space for patrons to host large events and meetings, or simply reserve a table for a few hours (fear not, you can still drop in without a reservation). This Bella Vista spot only serves local food like Weckerly’s ice cream sandwiches and Dottie’s Donuts, and even have locally-sourced products for sale in the cafe.

Good Karma Cafe

If you’re looking to enjoy your coffee outside, go to their original Filter Square location and grab a seat out front or on their back patio. The inviting cafe has thoughtful touches throughout to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. They have unique drink options as well as a variety of food to choose from.

La Colombe

As Starbucks is to Seattle, La Colombe is to Philadelphia. Born and raised in the City of Brotherly Love, you can get your caffeine fix from one of their 5 locations around the city, but our favorite is the Fishtown roastery for its ample seating, vaulted ceilings, and large selection of food. Order from their classic drink men or choose something on draft like their Nitro Cold Brew or Oat Milk Latte. And if you don’t have time to sit and sip, grab a canned draft latte to go.
