The Zumper Baltimore Metro Report analyzed active listings in June across 14 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.

Cities Ranked By Rent

The Most Expensive

–Elkridge, MD ranked as the most expensive city to rent, with one bedroom units priced at $1,620.

–Ellicott City, MD had the second most expensive rent at $1,460.

–Annapolis, MD rent was third this month at a median of $1,320.

The Least Expensive

–Brooklyn Park, MD remained the most affordable city to rent this month with one bedroom units priced at $760.

–Dundalk, MD ranked as the second least expensive city with rent at $850.

–Westminster, MD rent fell to $860, making it the third least expensive city to rent.

Yearly Growth Rate

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

–Glen Burnie, MD had the fastest growing rent since last year, up 14.3%.

–Baltimore, MD rent had the second largest yearly growth rate, climbing 13.7%.

–Dundalk, MD ranked as third with rent growing 11.8% since this time last year.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

–Pikesville, MD had the fastest growing rent since last month, up 5.3%.

–Baltimore, MD had a 4.7% monthly growth rate, making it the second fastest growing.

–Elkridge, MD had the third largest monthly growth rate at 3.8%.
